After breakfast, drive to Cu Chi where you will visit the amazing network of underground tunnels was used during the Vietnam War by the Viet Cong. This huge construction was a habitation for villagers in the war time. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the Vietnam War despite its proximity to Saigon. Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for a late lunch at your own cost. Afternoon you'll enjoy a guided city tour starting with the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam. Visit Binh Tay Market for an insight into locals’ shop. Then you'll be back at the hotel at around 18:00. Dinner at Indian restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
This morning you'll head south to My Tho with stop en-route to visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Transfer to My Tho pier for the boat trip on Tien River covering the areas of My Tho fish market and the four islands of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. A stopover at the Con Phung (Phoenix Island) to see the manufacture of handicraft made from coconut trees. Continue to Thoi Son Island, pay a short visit to a coconut candy factory and savor the taste of this special, visit a local house to enjoy the taste of honey tea and fresh fruits while listening to traditional music “Tai Tu” – the lovely and romantic melody of one of the tribes in Mekong Delta. Relax on a sampan through one of small canals of Mekong River. Return to My Tho Pier where your private vehicle will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner at Indian restaurant . After breakfast, free time of leisure. Later transfer by bus to Phnom Penh. After you arrive at Phnom Penh, be warmly welcomed by our guide and driver, then we explore the stunning Royal Palace complex. Continue to the Silver Pagoda, named after the 5000 silver tiles covering the floor, each weighing 1kg. Inside are some of the country's most cherished treasures, including a life-size gold Buddha studded with 9584 diamonds, the largest weighing 25 carats. Then visit the independent monument, King Morodom Statue, Chaktomuk Riverside and Naga World which is the biggest casino in Cambodia. You will also visit Wat Phnom, a symbol of the city. Located on one of the few hills in this pancake-flat capital, the first pagoda was originally built in 1373 to house Buddha statues discovered in the Mekong by a woman named Penh. Breakfast at hotel. This afternoon, you will visit Floating Village (Tonle Sap). The Tonle Sap Lake, fed by the mighty Mekong and the Tonle Sap River, is a vast expanse of water that forms the most significant topographical feature in Cambodia. Then, travel to Western Baray, the largest reservoir constructed during the Khmer Empire. Stretching an incredible 8km in length and 2km in width, this was a key element of the advanced hydraulic system that ensured the ancient Khmers mastered the seasonal cycle of water. And enjoy shopping around old market. Dinner with apsara dance show at local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast at hotel. Visit the immense walled city of Angkor Thom (Terrace of the Leper King, Terrace of the Leper King, Baphuon, and Bayon Temple) that was the masterpiece of King Jayavarman VII. Following the occupation of Angkor by the Chams from 1177 to 1181, the new king decided to build an impregnable fortress at the heart of his empire. Then continue to the temple of Ta Prohm where Tomb Raider was filmed and one of the largest temples built during the Khmer empire. The outside enclosing wall measures 1000m by 600m and was made from laterite. Afternoon, visit to the mother of all temples, Angkor Wat. Believed to be the world's largest religious building, this temple is the perfect fusion of symbolism and symmetry and a source of pride and strength to all Khmers. And view the sunset at Bakheng Mountain. Dinner at Indian restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
