When you arrive at Noi Bai International airport in Hanoi, you'll be smilingly met and transferred to your downtown hotel. Note: Early check-in and breakfast are not included today. This city tour of Hanoi takes in essential sites - you'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum (from outside), his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace (from outside) and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda - founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. The structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. The Temple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. At 08.00, you will be picked up at your hotel and start the scenic 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas and the world's largest marine limestone 'karst' landscape. Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta countryside and have a short break en-route. Meet the crew upon boarding a cruise boat, then relax and enjoy lunch while the boat heads towards the secluded islands. Visit a fishing village by a rustic rowing-boat, meet the local people and pass through the floating school and pearl farms. Return to the boat refreshed and relax on sundeck with a drink to watch the sunset. Enjoy a freshly prepared seafood dinner under the stars. Overnight on a cruise boat in Halong Bay.
Enjoy an early morning swim/Taichi (if weather permits) followed by breakfast. You will visit a famous ancient limestone cave in the middle of the bay where you’ll discover magnificent stalagmites and stalactites as you walk along the lit paths on a guided tour. Morning transfer to airport for a short flight to Danang. Upon arrival you will be picked up to visit Marble Mountain (Vietnamese: Ngu Hanh Son; literally “five elements’ mountains”) Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the mountain. Stone steps carved into the mountain lead to a Buddhist Pagoda. Hike up the stone stairs and visit the caves and pagodas as well as admire the beautiful panoramic view. Linh Ung Pagoda at Marble Mountains has been designated a national historical and cultural site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. You will also visit Am Phu Cave where there is a replica of “Heaven and Hell”, we can listen to the clapping of bats’ wings in the cave, contemplate the mysterious pagodas and the sculpturing village. Continue visiting Hoi An ancient town. You'll start a walking tour with the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. Following the narrow lanes, you'll meander through tiny streets studded by houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures. Free time for shopping before heading back to your hotel. Overnight in Danang.
08:00 AM: you will be picked up at your hotel lobby for a short drive to Bana Hills. Upon arrival, embark on the first cable car ride to reach Bana Hills. The cable car system at Bana Hills is one of the most modern ones in Southeast Asia and is one of the World's longest and highest cable car rides. Visit the Dream Stream Cable car station and see the panoramic views of Danang City from above. After the first cable car ride, you will visit the Golden Bridge that has recently gone viral, Le Jardin D’amour (consists of 9 gardens) and Linh Ung pagoda. You will then continue with the 2nd cable car to visit the French Village Campanile, Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple and Tea Shop. You might consider challenge the most popular adventure ride - Alpine Coaster (included in your entrance ticket), followed by buffet lunch at the restaurant. Your next stop will be at Fantasy Park, an amusement park inspired by French chateaus and palaces. 15:00: Return to the cable car station to leave Bana Hills and another transfer will take you back to your hotel. After breakfast, you will be taken to Danang airport for an afternoon flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, pick up and transfer to visit Cu Chi Tunnels where you will visit the amazing network of underground tunnels was used during the Vietnam War by the Viet Cong. This huge construction was a habitation for villagers in the war time. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the Vietnam War despite its proximity to Saigon. Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide. Return to your hotel at around 16.00. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
At 08.00 AM, you'll head south to My Tho pier to board a boat on the Mekong River for a sight-seeing of the four islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix and Rach Mieu bridge. Heading to Thoi Son (Unicorn Island, the biggest island in this area which is about 1.200 square hectare and about 11 km long) to see beehives and enjoy honey tea at local house. Continuing to An Hoa Island, Ben Tre province to visit a coconut candy workshop. Taking horse-carriage ride (or electric cart) along the village road. Resting at a farmhouse to enjoy some fresh tropical fruits and listen to some traditional music performed by local people. Rowing small boat (sampan) along a beautiful natural canal and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the countryside. Returning to My Tho city and enjoy fresh coconut on the boat. Return to My Tho Pier where your private vehicle will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City with stop en-route to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of an oldest in Southern Vietnam. The pagoda is also known as the largest pagoda and the most special architecture in Mekong Delta. Its architecture was influenced by Vietnamese culture and Khmer’s culture as well as European’s architecture. Return to your hotel at around 17.00. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, embark on a guided city tour, starting with the Reunification Palace; the former South Vietnam Presidential Palace; the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, as you get your camera working overtime peeking into the past of Vietnam's biggest, most energetically progressive city. You will also visit Ben Thanh Market with time for shopping. Your time will be your own until being picked up to head to Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport for your onward journey or departure flight.
